Is there a preferred brand for elf ears? (There's a question most people go a lifetime without ever asking!) I need something I can color with makeup.
Thanks,

woochie does great ears, as well as www.hightowercrafts.com if you like their style. Both can be blended fairly well and if you need a different funky color you can always paint with acrylic. Just as an FYI really really really stay away from full ear coverings it will ruin your day.

Sureee...........

Lol anyway I use woochie ears. The tip only ones those.

If you are really lucky you will get thick ones instead of the flimsy ones.

I once had the perfect pair of ears....now I only have one of that perfect pair. *sighs*

FYI: I've got my elf ears all set for next event.

Chris, should I pick up a few pairs at the Halloween/costume shop up the street from me?

BTW, all, I recommend toupé glue or eyelash glue over spirit gum. Take it from someone who played an elf for many years! Ouchie!

With the industry shifting to using foam rubber for prosthesis there are a plethora of different styles out there now. Foam rubber breathes while latex does not. Much more comfortable for extended wear. Plus if you want something a bit more dramatic than the typical 'spock' type of elf ears, I've seen the WoW night-elf style 'antenna' ears out there.

As far as adhesives go, I personally prefer 'medical adhesive' as it provides a much more resilient hold and doesn't sweat off or dry out and crack like spirit gum does. The trick is to paint it on where you want it sticky and then let it dry before you apply the mask/ears/nose/etc. If you want something to stay put for a LONG time or it's something that's likely to take some abuse, dont let the adhesive dry before you put it on. Be forewarned that you might need remover to get it back off when you're done tho!

i tried eye lash glue and it didnt seem to work for me at all, maybe i just didnt do it right since im not really into glueing things that close to my eye so im not proficient in using the stuff. i found using spirit gum was fine, i actually was attacked at disney world someone tried to yank my pointed ear off and surprisingly it stayed put lol.
