I'd like to suggest that Journeymen be able to make two Apprentice quality items in place of 1 Journeyman quality item and that masters be able to make three Apprentice quality items in place of 1 Master quality item.

This allows the more skilled craftsmen/smiths to produce more item at the cost of quality. These items would be subject to all Apprentice limitations; they'd only last two events, etc.. As a penalty, I would disallow maintenance.

Thoughts?

The inflation effect is too high. The length of time stuff lasts is way too long for an economy that is based on buying and equipping the fundamentals.
