What if it's a deadfall trap, ie a weapon hung from a tree that when tripped, strikes a PC. It is a weapon, but its delivery is a trap. Still no dice since it's a trap no matter what, or because the delivery is via weapon it does work?

Current trap rules, both Accelerant and the playtest, Spectrum, do not allow for 'deadfalls.' Therefore, you will not run into that. Therefore, it does not matter.

However, in the interest of being thorough, I would say it would be based on the call. If the call is "8 Damage" that would be the default call we all use when swinging our weapons and thus Dodge would work. But, comma, if the call is "8 Damage by Trap" then no, Dodge does not work because Traps are never weapons.

Hey, Chris!

How about a skill that lets you recover from being unconscious quicker?

Make it kinda like the Second Wind, Mental Focus and Spiritual Center skills.

Each time you buy it you recover 30 seconds quicker?

Just a thought.
